So he got up and went back to his father. While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. - Luke 15:20 (NAB)
No matter how far away we go or how long we are gone, the Father waits for us and is always ready to take us back.
His house, which is our house, is beautiful, warm and welcoming.
Lord, thank you for not holding a grudge against us when we leave you and go to faraway places. Thank you for always being willing to take us back and clean up the messes we have made.
"It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; He is the beauty to which you are so attracted." - St. John Paul II
