Tired from his journey, sat down there. - John 4:6 (NAB)
Ever feel like the intended goal remains afar off and you're weary with the ongoing journey? Ask the Lord to provide a resting place for now, a place to catch your breath.
Maybe this current perch isn't so bad after all. It's dry and solid amidst the waves of life.
Who knows, perhaps the goal has more to do with learning to make do than rushing on to the next place. Let's trust in His timing, be grateful for His provision, and enjoy the unique ride!
Prayer
Lord, thank you for providing a place to perch. Help me to rest, remembering that Your ways aren't my ways and that You do have a plan.
Quote
The accomplishment of the divine will is the sole end for which we are in the world.
// St. John Eudes
Reflect
Hoping to get somewhere, but the destination feels far off? Let's consider the positive aspects of this present perch and thank God for His provision in the current moment.
