Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name. –Isaiah 40:26 RSV

I sit silently on the sand, stunned by the spectacular sight. God of the heavens, am I numbered among those whom You call by name or is that honor reserved for the stars?
God answers me, "Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, and called thee by thy name: thou art mine." (Is. 43:1)
I stand still and speculate.

Prayer
O Yahweh, what is man, that You know him? Or the son of man, that You think of him?
(Ps. 8:4)
Quote
If there is anyone who is not enlightened by this sublime magnificence of created things, he is blind. ... If there is anyone who, seeing all these works of God, does not praise Him, he is dumb; if there is anyone who, from so many signs, cannot perceive God, that man is foolish. //St. Bonaventure (1217-1274)
Thought
How often do we stand in awe of God's magnificent creation and the added reality that this same God of heaven and earth desires to connect with us?

Hello Lisa, I recently found you when I must have been using Olive Tree resources in my Bible study. I noticed quickly that we share several things in common- most importantly our shared faith in Jesus as our Savior, and love for God our Creator. But this week’s photo inthe sand under the stars made me think of a photo I took of my son one summer in CO. He was sitting on a mountainside looking across a great valley at another mountain. I have loved that photo. I love photography for capturing the moments of people and of the beauties of nature all around us. So I joined your followers today, and I look forward to the connection…
