A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted. - Ecclesiastes 3:2 (DRB)
Hay there!
A seed was planted in the spring.
The seed sprouted.
The sprout grew up into a barley plant.
The barley plant's kernels were harvested in summer, leaving a dry stalk.
The stalk was cut and baled in autumn.
The bale was stored in a barn and later fed to cattle, for life-giving food during winter.
That barley plant had a purpose in every season from embryonic young beginning to dried-out end.
Lord, remind me that You have a purpose for every stage of my life.
