Sanctification. The word implies a purification process where we become more Christlike. It's a big theological term, yet a living reality that occurs over time through small selfless choices.
Marriage is a school of sanctification. It is a lengthy lab assignment that allows humans to grow in holiness as we humble ourselves day by day and submit to the lessons of our Heavenly Teacher.
Prayer
Lord, whether married or single, help us surrender to Your work of sanctification within us.
Quote
Marriage is a good in which the married are better in proportion as they fear God more chastely and more faithfully, especially if they also nourish spiritually the children whom they desire carnally. // St. Augustine of Hippo (354-430)
Thought
Think of small ways you can put your spouse, or someone else close to you, first.
