You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.
- Psalm 56:8 (NLT)
It gave me pause - the striking beauty of this weeping tree as if strands of gold were falling to the ground. Meanwhile, the evergreen stood staunchly in the background, unaffected as ever by the current season.
Our weeping is precious to Him - so precious that He bottles our tears. I wonder if the River of Life which runs through the Celestial City is slightly salty with earthly tears, being emptied from the Lord's bottle and disappearing amidst its heavenly flow.
Prayer
Lord, thank you that weeping tarries for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Thank you for considering our tears as something precious. Thank you for Your sacred weeping and suffering which resulted in the joy of resurrection!
Quote
Tears flow silently through the soul and cleanse the heart. //St. Pope John Paul II
Reflection
What are you weeping about right now? Cry to Jesus and let Him collect your precious tears into His heavenly bottle. He promises that joy will one day come.
